Learning Dashboard for Teachers
Challenge
The design brief for this project was to address the issues caused by COVID-19 for elementary school teachers. The goal was to create a prototype that would assist teachers in dealing with the new issues brought on by the pandemic.
Process
It was a user-centered design process that was iterative and used the double diamond design method. First semi-structured interviews were conducted and from this we gathered the user needs. We brainstormed and created a low-fidelity prototype on paper, which was tested on users. Then a digital prototype was created on JustInMind, which was then tested again.
Solution
The completed prototype was a platform enabling teachers to inform students about what they are expected to do and learn during lessons, as well as grade assignments on the platform. In addition, the prototype aimed to be minimalistic in its design and avoid unnecessary functionality. It also followed established conventions to have a high level of memorability.
